How we compare pet food prices
Same product, same size, per kg or litre, or per unit for treats sold by count and accessories. We show when we last checked. Nobody pays to be first.
13 named retailers
Pet Circle, PeekAPaw, Woonona Petfood & Produce, Petstock, Petbarn, Vet n Pet Direct, Budget Pet Products, VetSupply, 77Paws, Woolworths, Coles, Aldi and Chemist Warehouse. No marketplace sellers.
Checked daily or weekly
Pet shops every morning, supermarkets each Wednesday and Chemist Warehouse at least once a week. We show when we last checked: once on each page, and beside any price checked earlier than the rest. If a check fails, the old price stays, with its older date shown.
Matched, not guessed
Brand, recipe and pack size must match before two prices sit in the same table. If we're not sure, it stays on that shop's page only.
Per kg or litre
Every price is shown per kg or litre, or per unit for treats sold by count and accessories. That's how a 7.5 kg bag and a 15 kg bag compare fairly.
The price a walk-in pays comes first
Once-off prices sort the table by default. Member and repeat-delivery prices are shown beside them, named the way each shop names them.
What "drop" means
A price below its usual price over the last 28 days, dated from the day it fell. Never "52% off" without a rule.

How we make money
Some retailer buttons are affiliate links: if you buy, that retailer may pay us a small commission. It costs you nothing, and it never changes which shop is first, which badge a row gets, or whether a shop is shown. Full affiliate disclosure
What we don't do
- Sponsored rows or paid placement
- Countdown timers or "hurry" messages
- Make you sign up to see a price
- Review or rate the food ourselves (yet)
Spotted a wrong price?
Every price has a "Report a wrong price" link. We check every report against the retailer, usually the same day.
